We are so happy to be back "home" in Kenya. We had only lived here at the Camp Lukenya property for one month before we left for the 4-months Stateside. So now we are really enjoying settling into our new home. I now have the privilege of taking daily walks on our 100 acres. I usually take one of our dogs named Brummy along to alert me of any snakes on the path. The last two early mornings I have seen giraffe on the lower end of the property. I can get quite close to them & they just stare at me with their long beautiful eyelashes! Joel & I also visited our retired American friends who live on the 20,000 acre game ranch that borders our property. They have 4 lions in huge cages and a leopard. We had the privilege of going with them to feed them the other evening. Now that's something to see! One annoying thing we deal with now is the "tick season." We have tiny ticks, some as tiny as a pinhead, that like to crawl up your feet and legs when you go outside. We are constantly picking them off, sometimes not successfully! Anyhow, this season will soon be over.
I will be posting pictures over the next few days of our grandchildren & other pictures from our time in the States. I'm looking forward to sharing some of our Kenyan adventures with you.
